TRIP DESCRIPTION

MEXICO is a fantastic travel destination – it has it all!  High volcanoes, beautiful beaches, pyramids, archaeological sites, an energetic culture and people, delicious food, a long and varied history, and of course Mexico City.
Climb Ecuador’s climbing trip to MEXICO begins in Mexico City – the pulsating heart of the country and home to over 20 million people. We spend our first two days and nights exploring Mexico City, then we visit the great pyramids of Teotihuacan, then we begin the climbs – 3 mountains: La Malinche (14,640 feet), Ixta (17,126 feet) and Pico de Orizaba (18,405 feet), MEXICO’s highest peak.
Our trip lasts 14 days total – a full 5 days longer than trips offered by many other commercial climbing companies. We climb at a relaxed pace (with 2-day climbs of both Ixta and Pico de Orizaba) and make the most of our days off to explore MEXICO. We may only scratch the surface of what this great country has to offer, but these 14 days may end up being the most memorable of your life.
And as always, all clients receive the usual CE perks: single occupancy in 3 or 4 star hotels, a client-to-guide ratio of 2:1, well-catered meals with excellent food, private vans for all transportation needs, group wine and cheese parties, a lavish Farewell Dinner, and the usual fun and flexibility at all times. (Personal porters are available to carry your personal gear to high camp (roundtrip) on both Ixta and Pico de Orizaba at an EXTRA charge of $150 per mountain. Group porters (included in trip price) will be used to carry group gear, such as tents, food, water, cooking gear, etc.) Have a look at our day-by-day itinerary (dates and price given below) and see how Climb Ecuador “does MEXICO!!”
